Mr. Akinyemi O. Atobatele serves as Programmes Director for Public Health and Infectious Diseases at the Centre for Development in Social Justice (CDSJ) and brings more than 20 years of experience in international development, public health, strategic information, digital health systems, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning across Southern and West Africa. He holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Liverpool and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Lagos.
Over the course of his career, he has held senior technical and advisory roles in both Nigeria and Lesotho, including serving as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager under USAID/Nigeria for over sixteen years and later as Senior Strategic Information Advisor under USAID/Lesotho for four years, where he supported government institutions and development partners to strengthen information systems, improve programme performance, and advance data-driven decision-making.
His expertise spans strategic information system design, health data analytics, digital health innovation, programme evaluation, and the translation of complex data into actionable insights that improve planning, accountability, and service delivery.
He currently also serves as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of TitaniumX Group and as Principal Partner at the Africa Hub for Innovation and Development, where he works at the intersection of data, policy, and digital innovation to help institutions build integrated, trusted, and sustainable systems. At CDSJ, he brings deep technical credibility, regional experience, and a strong commitment to evidence-based public health programming that strengthens health systems, supports institutional responsiveness, and improves health outcomes for vulnerable communities.
