Ms. Masechache Sechache serves as Co-Executive Director for Operations and Technical Services at the Centre for Development in Social Justice (CDSJ) and brings more than 20 years of experience in public health programming, livelihoods recovery, operational management, policy research, and advocacy. She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of the Free State, together with qualifications in Social Anthropology and Nutrition Education, reflecting a strong interdisciplinary foundation in leadership, systems management, and community development.
Over the course of her career, she has held senior technical and managerial roles in institutions including USAID-Lesotho, CARE International, Danish Volunteer Services, and the Ministry of Local Government, with particular depth in HIV prevention, OVC programming, DREAMS, gender inclusion, and community-based social protection.
Her portfolio includes strategic and technical leadership for major donor-funded initiatives supported by USAID, PEPFAR, and DFID, including oversight of the Bokamoso Program valued at US$47 million and the Karabo ea Bophelo Project valued at US$60 million, both implemented across all ten districts of Lesotho, as well as management of large multidisciplinary teams and complex stakeholder platforms involving government, implementing partners, and multilateral actors.
She has also served as a certified Assistance Officer Representative for USAID programmes for more than twelve years and as a gender focal person for USG programmes under PEPFAR in Lesotho, reflecting a high level of trust in her leadership, compliance oversight, and programme stewardship. At CDSJ, she brings this depth of operational, managerial, donor, and systems experience into building a disciplined and credible institution capable of delivering high-quality programming and strong organisational performance across Africa.
